When it comes to Apple, talk show host Conan O’Brien’s parodies of its products and commercials are always a joy to watch. Today’s iPad mini skit is no different.
In this short video clip, Conan will tell you that “you’re just trying to fill the empty void in your sad life” – that is, of course, if you intend add the iPad mini to your extensive collection of Apple products.
That’s all on Coco, I didn’t say a thing. *Orders iPad mini*
In this humorous clip from Conan, an obnoxious zombie named Hamilton Davis, who is a big fan of the AMC television show The Walking Dead, comes out to share his thoughts about the show. After the zombie and Conan go back and forth a few times exchanging rude remarks, Conan’s announcer / sidekick Andy Richter decides that he has had enough and pulls out a gun to take the zombie out.
It’s kinda racist to call them “zombies.” The undead upper-class prefer “Decaying Americans.”
“World’s highest freefall? Pfft. SO last week. Prepare for four inches of pure excitement!”
For the Red Bull Stratos mission, Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner recently completed the world’s highest freefall, jumping some 24 miles from the edge of space back to Earth. Now, on Conan, daredevil Alex Brenner of Team Slim Jim has completed the world’s shortest freefall. Watch in this video clip as Brenner falls an entire four inches from the ground. Be sure to stay until the end for the exciting ‘helmet camera’ footage.
Just because Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter aren’t the first names that come to mind when someone says “world-class athletes” doesn’t mean they’re not talented guys.
To prove they’ve got what it takes, they challenged the 2032 Dream Team to a face-off. Sure, maybe it’s unfair to expect their opponents to perform at peak levels when their Olympics are still 20 years away, but basketball is a tough sport, man.
Sometimes the call comes and you’ve just gotta take it. These four year olds learned that the hard way.
The Conan show rented a super slow-motion camera, like the ones used to capture instant replays in the Olympics, and filmed a variety of hilarious scenes. They captured a golf cart plowing through a multi-tiered wedding cake, hostConan O’Brien spitting out rainbow sprinkles, and lots more. In one of the videos, Conan has a powerful air hose pointed his face, which contorts it à la the extreme wind Blow Job portraits by Tadao Cern.
Also offering his tears: Will Ferrell.
“What they had was so special,” the comedian, 45, deadpanned to Conan O’Brien on Thursday night’s Conan. (Watch the video below.) “You don’t even know what they had. They were in love, and she just threw it all away.”
His tongue-in-cheek concerns continued: “I just don’t know if there was anything I could have done to prevent it. And I don’t know what it means to the Twilight franchise. I just don’t know.”
If it brings Ferrell any comfort, the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 costars (and, now, exes) are still set to join the rest of the cast to promote the final installment of the vampire smash (although sources tell PEOPLE Pattinson is “heartbroken and angry” with Stewart for her affair with married directorRupert Sanders).
Still, like a scorned lover, Ferrell had some not-so-nice things to say about Stewart, 22 (all in good fun, of course!): “She is a tramp-ire. That’s what she is.”
Some super exciting news for comedy geeks: Vulture is exclusively reporting that TBS is developing a new half-hour late-night show produced under Conan O’Brien’s Conaco banner and hosted by standup vet Pete Holmes. If you’re not already familiar with Holmes’ act, you might recognize him as the voice of the E-Trade Baby or have seen one of the cartoons he’s done forThe New Yorker. Either way, we recommend familiarizing yourself with this very funny guy by checking out his fantastic debut album, Impregnated with Wonder, as well as the interview podcast that he does for Nerdist, You Made It Weird. Vulture says that Holmes will shoot a pilot for the new show in mid-August, so keep your fingers crossed that after watching, TBS decides to give it the go-ahead; in the meantime, click through to watch an entertaining clip of a recent appearance that he made on Conan.
